(Anton Giulio Bragaglia) Riccardo Angelini's Nuova Photodinamica Futurista starts from the assumption that the movement is not the subject under consideration, but is the means through which entities, springing from the unconscious, manifest themselves. The artist aims to bring into life ephemeral spirits that forcibly demand attention and that manage to emerge when the light draws their traits through movement. We find ourselves before figures, anthropomorphic or otherwise, generated by the encounter between an automatic-involuntary gesture and the artist's consciousness. Angelini examines and exanimates these formless epiphanies, subject to the dynamics of chance and light, and then crystallizes them in objective entities.
